Telangana and National Media

Its time and again, National media(Specifically CNN IBN, though I like this channel but I have to criticise them in this matter) dtook narrow-minded view and didn't cover Sushma Swaraj's attendence for a ABVP's student rally in support of Telangana. I have been following national news since JTM(Jai Telangana Movement) started picked up again on Nov 27 and their coverage on this matter is very poor. Instead, I saw them running story for several days on Ruchika's case. I am not sure how can they justify their stand.

Rahul Gandhi's Mission 2012

In my view, Rahul Gandhi is moving ahead strategically in Indian politics - Specifically, in Uttar Pradesh. He has got mission 2012 in which year Up is going for State Assembly polls. He wants to make his position stronger in Indian politics by becoming King or King Maker in UP-2012 polls. If he succeeds in UP 2012 mission, then he immediately takes berth in Union Cabinet and contend for coveted post in 2014.
In the journey, He has sub mission 2011 - West Bengal Assembly Polls. I am sure he along with Mamata Benarjee would sweep Bengal polls.

Andhra leaders helped Telangana Movement to become stronger

I know your question on the title of this post - that is "how?", Let me explain.
If you really analyze, KCR didn't get wide range support before 9 Dec,2009. None of Congreass and TDP leaders came out and seriously supported his movement that he started 10 days before.

After Central Govt.'s Dec 9th statement, The Coastal Andhra and Seema leaders resigned across party lines in support of United Andhra.
Leaders and People of Telangana realized how strong Costal Andhra and Rayala seema leaders united - they were united across party lines. So they thought that its time to become united and be more stronger.

Whatever the central govt's decision may be, Telengana movement would never stop until Telangana State is realized, I believe.

KCR - The frontrunner of Telangana Movement

I have been listening to comments from various political leaders that Telangana movement is not just owned by KCR or his party TRS. But if you really look at, None of these major parties(either Congress or TDP) seriously fought for Telangana. TRS is the only party who fought with YSR in and outside of Assemly. In responding to Governer's speech, YSR made deregotary comments against TRS and none of these leaders objected to his comments.

When all the pary leaders took their political colleagues to Central Govt meeting on Jan 5th, KCR took Prof.Jayashakar along with him. and KCR was professional in terms of attire and otherwise when representing himself. That made him to keep good image in Delhi.

To me, KCR is tallest leader , may be greater than YSR and Chandra Babu Naidu or he looks superior in terms of political moves. It is not easy to get the support of 38 parties o Telangana movement. KCR has been runningTelangana movement for last 10 years - he might have made some mistakes like YSR(who threw chappal at Kotla Vijaya Bhask Reddy) or CB Naidu(who lost senior colleagues to PRP) but certainly great hero in Telangana.

KCR is great at articulating his thoughts - He explains anything so precisely and crisply that a lay man can understand it.

Want to write again..

I have started blogging back in July,2008 and posted only one blog.Since then I havn't posted anything - mainly because of work pressure and personal priorities, part of it being lazy.
After sad demise YSR and Jai Telangana Movement, I thought I would write again. I have been closely watching the news for last few weeks and would write my two cents.
